BJP president Amit Shah said the Telangana government failed to deliver on promises, and Chief Minister, K Chandrasekhar Rao, was scared of Narendra Modi in the 2019 general elections, and hence pushed the State to early elections in December.
“This decision placed a financial burden of hundreds of crores on the poor people of the State. The Telangana Rashtra Samiti (TRS) government made 150 promises in 2014, but has not implemented a single one” , said Amit Shah in Karimnagar on Wednesday. The BJP Chief asked: Whether the Congress (I) under Rahul Gandhi was an alternative to KCR. “Can Congress (I), TDP of Chandrababu Naidu or even Mahakutami be an alternative to fight the TRS? No, only the BJP can,” he said.
